In the winter of 2009 (Mar1-9 )We are planning a mission Trip to PISCO - PERU. Last year August 15, 2007 an earthquake of point 7.0 on the Richter scale destroyed three port cities along the southern coast of Peru’s Pacific Ocean.
Thousands of people to the date have no access to shelter and poverty has increased extremely around those areas. Eleven volunteers from the Portuguese District of the Foursquare of New England are willing to go and help as they can.
Our goal is to raise $7000 Dollars so the team can offer the appropiate help to the population of Pisco (food,rebuilding,drinking water).
Part of the plan is to provide them with medical attendance. FIC considers this part of the plan crucial and has called it the Medical Crusade. We have already contacted and hired Peruvian physicians to provide medical care and bring medicine. We know it is a hard task, but is is the Lord who commends us to do it.
